Nominated for the 1st Saint Leopold Peace Prize

One of the most significant milestones in my artistic journey was being nominated for the inaugural St. Leopold Peace Prize, announced by Klosterneuburg Abbey (Stift Klosterneuburg, Austria) for my painting, Das Tor (The Door). Having my artwork selected by the jury for a prize of EUR 15,000 was beyond imagination—it felt like winning already. The opportunity to exhibit in a 900-year-old religious and cultural center was an immense honor.

Following this remarkable event, I chose to donate Das Tor to Hartmannspital, a hospital in Vienna run by the Franciscan Order. The painting found its home in the “Oasis of Healing”, a space where patients can rest, pray, or simply absorb the uplifting energy surrounding them.

“We just need to open the door and recognize what is necessary to better ourselves.”—this thought became the essence of Das Tor.
