Part of ARTBOX.PROJECT Zurich 7.0

Today marks an exciting milestone in my journey back into the art world—I’ve been accepted into ARTBOX.PROJECT Zurich 7.0 at SWISSARTEXPO, which will take place from August 20th to 24th in Zurich, Switzerland. I’m beyond thrilled!

The jury has selected my painting MEXABORO Level 65 for inclusion in the exhibition. This piece is part of the MEXABORO series, inspired by the vibrant splendor of Mexico and the Aboriginal dot-painting technique. I developed these works using elements of pointillism—where small, distinct dots of color come together to form a larger image. In my case, circles, of course.

The Story Behind the Artwork

The journey of this piece is truly remarkable. What began in 2010 as a personal reflection on my life at the age of 50 lay dormant for years until the MEXABORO series took shape and was finally completed in 2023. Level 65 stands as the centerpiece of this colorful collection.

Time flies, and before we know it, August will be here! Soon, MEXABORO Level 65 will shine in Zurich, taking its place in an exhibition that celebrates creativity and artistic expression.
